The collaboration with the Paul Klee Institute of Arts of Genoa has been lasting since 2003. In the “Graffiti in Port” project the students-artists became protagonist by implementing vairous decorative interventions on our facilities, such as the wall paints along the boundary wall which borders the terminal area, and those on the walls of the educational hall which welcomes the visiting schools. Since 2003 the Municipality make the settlement possible of a new pole dedicated to culture and show in the western part of Genoa: the Cargo Theatre, by investing energies and resources on a group of young organizers, proven by years of theatrical works. With them since 2004 we have been concretizing the sponsoring for the theatrical season. We also subscribed the show Departures which was performed in an unusual seat: the “Maestrale” floating crane berthed near the terminal for the occasion. This vehicle for maritime operations used for cargoes lifting and handling consists in a crane leant on a floating pontoon. In 2004 we contributed to the production of the “Ligurian Sea” photografic book which portrays the fabulous sea depths under the terminal and the colonizations which were enlarged near the “Island”.
