We have been activating an assiduous and preferential dialogue for many years with Genoa schools by implementing educational projects for primary and secondary school pupils in the western part of Genoa and for the students of the Nautical Institute of our town. The first step consisted in the projects: “Energy to read” and the “Resonant wood”. It is a unique project set out in two initiatives aiming at spreading the knowledge of energy sources and of their correct use by pupils of Genoa primary schools. This project was realized in collaboration with the Edmondo De Amicis International Children Library and the Agora Social Syndicate, a leading institution in local educational activties. This project will be followed by the opening of our terminal to students in order to offer them the opportunity to achieve an exhaustive vision of the activities performed in this part of the harbour. Over the years the project grew up together with our awareness of being able to offer a real didactic support to the visiting classes. For this reason we activated a profitable collaboration with the Chemical and Industrial Chemical Department of the Genoa University which allowed us to support and to spread scientific culture in our town. At present our project is set out in a guided tour to our terminal – with the assistance of our technicians – followed by a real scientific laboratory directed by chemists belonging to Genoa University who involve the students in amusing and instructive experiments.

The "Open Port"project

This project is destined to primary and secondary schools and to Genoa Nautical Institute. Since February these schools are allowed to visit the facilities of Multedo oil terminal guided by a technician of our firm. It represents an opportunity to closely watch the functioning both of our facilities and of our safety system. At the end of the visit every class is involved in an extension didactic activity:
